Like new!

It looks so good! I cleaned it last night. I had lost all hope; I thought we would have to replace it. The light makes it look like it is dark on the left, but it really isn't. I am super excited!!!! Bets on how long it will look like this?

If the NCOs are the backbone of the armed forces, then the First Sergeant is the heart and soul. No other enlisted person carries near the responsibility and authority of the First Sergeant, no other person in the squadron or company, including the commissioned officers, possesses the First Sergeant's breadth of experience, professional knowledge, or education. A First Sergeant MUST be an unqualified expert in promotions, demotions, military law, civilian law, counseling, discipline, leave & passes, evaluations, inspections, public speaking, billeting, PCS moves, TDYs, pay problems and procedures, child and family support, bad checks, budgeting, loans, requisitions, dress and appearance, awards and decorations, unit history, parades, ceremonies, family advocacy, medical benefits and requirements, re enlistments, retirements, weight control, professional military education, ID card privileges, off limit areas, restrictions, etc. The First Sergeant is the primary liaison with the commander on all matters concerning the enlisted corps. He or she is the eye and ear for the commander, and the mouth for the enlisted force. The First Sergeant carries a beeper or cell phone with him or her 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and never complains when he/she is called out at 2 AM to get a drunk out of jail, then called out again at 4 AM to settle a domestic dispute. 

Disclaimer:  Mike often had to make early morning trips to the police station and to his office, there was a little grumbling, but who can blame him :)

I am having major technology issues.  My fancy phone is broken (so is Mike's) as is my laptop, so I cannot download the pictures off my broken camera!  We are holding out until after Congress fixes the budget, just kidding that will never happen.  We are waiting until after Christmas.  I am going to try and update my blog, but it has been hard with all the glitches. 

Have a great Thanksgiving week.  I made the cranberry sauce and cranberry relish this morning.  Now on to the yummy garlic dip!

I told Addie this morning.  Watch out for Cody, he is a little grumpy!  She said, I think he is all the way grumpy, up to the top!  Then she said he is a grumpy dog, get it because he has on dog pajamas!  She is so cute.  I just love her little, feisty spirit.

Wonder why?!

We have problems in the U.S.  This reminds me of when they asked people what they thought of Sarah Palin running with Obama.  Ignorance at it's best!

So sad!

I was looking at adoptions.  I had no idea how much they cost or how they work.  We are not going to adopt, but I just feel so awful for all of these kids.  I especially feel heartbroken for the orphan babies that are born addicted to drugs or with birth defects.  I found this website:  http://www.adoptuskids.org/states/nc/browse.aspx.  It feels so much like adopting a pet, but I am sure they want to put names with faces and get the most exposure as possible.  I pray all these sweet kiddos find a safe and loving home!

Rash of violence on the innocent

There have been so many missing children and women, especially mothers!  It appears to be a reflection of our degrading society!  I do not hide my Biblical beliefs, so I will not apologize for my words.  With the huge acceptance of homosexuality and the push to accept pedophilia as a sexual preference, my advice is don't look back, lest you turn into a pillar of salt.

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, please find someone that does and talk to them.  I am not Harold Camping, but I would not rest my faith in the hands of time.  I have been reading a lot about hell, you DO NOT want to end up there!!!!  Fear factor aside, God has so much to give you and bring to your life, please seek Him out!  I am praying you do!

I should not be shocked, BUT I AM!!!!

I am disgusted with the assaults and damage being done by this group of people.  It obviously is no longer peaceful, if it ever was.  I thought the Constitution protected peaceful assembly, NOT mobs!!!!

I told Wyatt to go lay in our bed, because Cody was being fussy!  This is what I found when I checked on him!  At first, I was worried, because he wasn't there, but then I saw him way under the pillows.  He is so cute.  Thankfully he isn't puking anymore and nobody else has started.
