Don't forget...

Who God is!  He is powerful and mighty!  He is everything you need at every moment!

I am reminded of Matthew 10:28, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

All the craziness in life is immaterial!  The thing to be concerned with is how you portray God though all of it!  Now that can make the difference between Heaven and Hell!

Spies

Addie and Wyatt were having a disagreement about spies. Addie didn't want Wyatt to have animal powers; she wanted to be regular spy kids. I told them they can be whatever they wanted. Addie replies with, fine Wyatt then you can't be a part of spies.com! Oh, how the little ones even know about technology!

St. Nicks

Waiting for the kiddos to wake up.
Mack bought and wrapped the gifts in the bags.  She cleaned the bathrooms to earn money.
Waiting patiently for the boys.
Look, candy!
Wow!  This is the best day ever!
The candy trail is my favorite!

Addie's Birthday Countdown

It only cost $3 for everything.  I bought it all from Walmart in the
birthday favor area.  We used a cardboard shipping box, paint we had, index cards, and
wrapping paper we already had.  We are going to do this from now on!

More Traditions

Chocolate Advent Calendar

All stacked up!

 Jesse Tree

Advent Wreath

I bought the chocolate Advent calendars for $0.60 last year on clearance.  I usually buy them from the Commissary, but I found them at Family Christian.  I was so excited they even have verses for each day that tell the Christmas story.  Yesterday, we were all very excited to open our first day!  I have never seen kids run to the garbage so quickly to spit out candy!  They are so gross; the expiration date is Feb 2012, so that isn't the problem.  We will improvise this year with opening the days, and eating an M & M instead!  I guess next year we are back to the Commissary.

We stated doing the Jesse Tree about 5 years ago.  They kids love it.  The original tree was build much bigger, but it broke, so we went with a mostly indestructible one.  I keep everything in a binder, along with an adorable daily Nativity reading that Mack did when she was 2!  We also keep the Advent wreath scriptures and information plus Christmas song lyrics in the binder.  Everynight we sing a song by candle light!  I hope someday the kids will have such great memories of all our Holiday fun!  Don't forget the goodies and lights on Christmas Eve!  Merry Christmas!
